These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Python Academy Sri Lanka. By accessing our website, using our services, or enrolling in our courses, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms in their entirety.

Important: These terms are legally binding. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

  3. Respect the intellectual property rights of our educational materials and content
  4. Follow all course guidelines, assignment requirements, and academic integrity policies
  5. Use our platform and services solely for legitimate educational purposes

1.2 Prohibited Activities and Behaviors

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of services:

  1. Unauthorized Access: Attempting to access accounts, systems, or data belonging to others
  2. Content Violation: Uploading, sharing, or distributing illegal, offensive, or copyrighted material
  3. Harassment: Engaging in bullying, intimidation, or discriminatory behavior toward any individual
  4. Academic Dishonesty: Plagiarism, cheating, or misrepresenting your work or achievements
  5. System Interference: Activities that disrupt, damage, or impair our website or services
  6. Commercial Misuse: Using our platform for unauthorized advertising or commercial purposes

1.3 Content Guidelines and Restrictions

  • Original Content: All submitted work must be your own original creation or properly attributed
  • Appropriate Material: Content must be suitable for an educational environment
  • Copyright Compliance: Respect all intellectual property rights and licensing terms
  • Professional Language: Use respectful and professional language in all communications

1.4 Age Restrictions and Requirements

  • Minimum Age: Users must be at least 16 years old to create an account
  • Parental Consent: Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent
  • Age Verification: We may request age verification documentation when required
  • False Information: Providing false age information is grounds for account termination

2. User Responsibilities

2.1 Compliance with Laws and Regulations

You are responsible for ensuring your use of our services complies with all applicable laws and regulations:

  • Data protection and privacy regulations applicable in your jurisdiction
  • Copyright and intellectual property laws

2.2 Indemnification Obligations

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Python Academy Sri Lanka, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:

  1. Your use or misuse of our services
  2. Your violation of these Terms and Conditions
  3. Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
  4. Any content you submit, post, or transmit through our services
  5. Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

2.3 Privacy and Data Protection

  • Account Security: Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Personal Information: Provide accurate and up-to-date personal information
  • Privacy Respect: Respect the privacy of other users and do not share their personal information
  • Breach Reporting: Immediately report any suspected security breaches or unauthorized access

2.4 Third-Party Interactions

When interacting with third-party services, partners, or individuals through our platform:

  • You acknowledge that we are not responsible for third-party content, services, or actions
  • You should review and understand third-party terms and policies before engaging
  • You assume all risks associated with third-party interactions and transactions

3. Disclaimers and Limitations

3.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Our services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis:

  • No Warranties: We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • Educational Outcomes: We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or career advancement
  • Service Availability: We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service operation
  • Content Accuracy: We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of all educational content

3.2 Limitation of Liability

MAXIMUM LIABILITY LIMITATION:

  1. Total Liability Cap: Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or LKR 25,000, whichever is less.
  2. Individual Claim Limit: For any single claim or incident, our liability shall not exceed LKR 10,000.
  3. Time Limitation: All claims must be brought within one (1) year of the date the cause of action arose.

3.3 Consequential Damages Exclusion

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, we shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Personal injury or property damage arising from your use of our services
  • Career-related losses or missed employment opportunities

3.4 Force Majeure Provisions

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters and extreme weather events
  • Pandemic, epidemic, or public health emergencies
  • Internet outages or telecommunications failures
  • Government actions, regulations, or court orders
  • Labor disputes, strikes, or civil unrest
  • Third-party service provider failures

4. Legal Information and Dispute Resolution

4.1 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka
  • Jurisdiction: Any legal disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka
  • International Users: Users outside Sri Lanka consent to Sri Lankan jurisdiction for dispute resolution

4.2 Dispute Resolution Procedures

Step 1: Direct Communication

Before initiating formal proceedings, parties must attempt to resolve disputes through direct communication. Contact us through our official channels to discuss the matter.

Step 2: Mediation Process

If direct communication fails, disputes shall be submitted to mediation through a qualified mediation service in Sri Lanka before pursuing litigation.

Step 3: Legal Proceedings

Only after attempting mediation may parties pursue formal legal action through the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

4.3 Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, such provision shall be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

4.4 Terms Modification Policy

  • Modification Rights: We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time
  • Notice Period: Users will be notified of material changes at least 30 days in advance
  • Acceptance: Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance
  • Rejection: Users who disagree with changes may terminate their account
